Caring Adults

Every child and youth needs and deserves support and guidance from caring adults in their families, schools, and communities. It’s important that every child has an ongoing, secure relationships with their parents, legal guardians, or other family adults, as well as multiple and consistent formal and informal positive relationships with teachers, mentors, coaches, youth volunteers, and neighbors.

Strategic Initiative: Community Norms Campaign

The Youth Community Coalition works to change the “normal” ways adults interact with youth.  This happens through community campaigns that help adults support the positive development of youth.  This works to create a community environment where youth and adults have positive relationships.  Currently, the community norms campaign focuses on underage drinking and the responsibility of adults encourage youth not to drink alcohol.  Below are some samples of recent billboard and television campaigns.
